Two new ferry routes departing from Ireland are starting in 2014, making it even easier to get across from Ireland to France!
Irish Ferries have announced a new route from Dublin to Cherbourg. It leaves Dublin on Saturday 15.30 and arrives in Cherbourg at 11.30 on Sunday morning and the return crossing leaves on Sunday at 17.00 and arrives in Dublin at 11.00 the next morning.
Ld Lines has announced a route from Rosslare to St Nazaire Port, which is perfect for the Vendee as its only 2 hours from Jard Sur Mer.
It leaves weekly from Rosslare on Friday at 21.00 and arrives in St Nazaire on Saturday at 19.00. The return ferry leaves St Nazaire on Wednesday at 23.59 and arrives back at Rosslare at 21.15 on Thursday.
At the moment there are some really good prices on offer to celebrate the launch of this new route which bring the price in a lot less than all the other ferry routes, including a short drive on the French side.
Friday 27th June (departing 21.00 from Rosslare) until Wednesday 9th July (departing 23.59 St Nazaire) is just £214* return and if you wanted to add outside four berths cabins it comes in at £254*.
